Psychology has been a life-long passion for me. This passion was later converted into my profession. What sparked this transition was my own personal transformative journey, as a client, which sparked a burning desire within me to be able to facilitate similar growth for others.
My curiosity regarding the power of the mind, and its impact on the body (mind-body language) never ceases to exist. I view psychotherapy as the creative process of discovering a masterpiece in each client and reigniting their spontaneity and authenticity.
Training and Experience
I have obtained an Honours Degree in Psychology at the South African College of Applied Psychology, and am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF).
I have also completed an internship at the Cape Trauma Centre and Hope House in Cape Town, where I worked with all types of trauma, and traumatic bereavement. I have also been volunteering at LifeLine since 2012, and have gained experience in application of the CBT (TB) model.
I am currently undergoing clinical training in Gestalt Therapy at the Institute oh Gestalt (H.C.C. Italy), Postgraduate School of Psychotherapy, in my spare time. I believe that the job of a therapist includes never-ending self-development, so I continue training and personally partaking in a variety of psychological and other healing methods.
